Petits Bijoux is a line of handmade jewelry using antique finds, buttons, and other miscellaneous materials. There is joy in using elements that might have been discarded to rearrange in a way that is aesthetically pleasing.

 

This process echos my many yearks working as a graphic designer, where the elements are text and image. With painting, the elements are often driven by technique or media, as well as the whim of the day. I find the results are better if nothing is planned and the image evolves as the work progresses.
